10 Faces

This was done as part of a challenge for charity, called 300 Faces in 30 Days. Mike Delight, the publisher of Makepeace Media, asked me to do 10 faces in a day as part of a multi-artist challenge for that month.

I coloured up my favourite especially for the blog- the face I fondly call 'dedtedhed'. Enjoy...

Found you blog through the Drawing Board.

Your stuff is AWESOME! Great style and the inking is just wonderful!

I like the Avatars you use here and at the board. Very attention getting.

Great faces dude. Lotsa personality. Very crisp linework as usual.

Mega - I can't speak for Chris obviously, but it seems likely the lines are that dark due to adjusting levels in Photoshop. at least that's what a lot of other folks do. Just thought I'd put that out there since I'm not sure he checks the comments yet (he did just start bloggin' after all)

Thanks everyone.

Scott- Yeah, Jamie Hewlett's art was definitely in the back of my mind doing some of those pieces.

Heri- I'll get my blog listings up soon, and you'll be the first on my list.

Mega- I use a clutch pencil HB, and A4 Reflex xerox paper.

My process is pretty close to what Matt said. Because I do most of my rough drawing with a pale blue pencil, only the crisp lead shows once I scan it in.
