More girlies

I know it seems like all I've been posting lately is girly art, (and this is mainly due to my contributions to 'The Attractive Art Community' blog) but I will have some other type of art to share soon.

Come May I'll have a full colour Charlie Sheen caricature to share which I did for FHM magazine (along with an animated gif of it's creation) and I've been mucking around in my spare time redesigning Star Wars characters. So there'll be some non-girly art coming shortly.

Until then, here's Go-go Yubari from Kill Bill, The Black Cat from Spiderman and some semi-naked chick with tentacle hair (click the last two for the full pics)

Wow--I love all three of these! I'm particularly smitten with that gorgeous Black Cat piece, though. (Lord, I want to be able to draw feet like that...)

Hello, I hope you don't mind me mailing you rather randomly like this but I would like to ask you about the creative industry in Australia, and more specifically Sydney.
My name Oliver Harud, I am a freelance illustrator currently based in London but my wife and I are thinking of moving to Sydney. My wife is Australian and has been offered a very good job in Sydney which we are deciding whether to peruse or not, one of the factors is what kind of creative industry currently exists in Australia / Sydney which I could work within. Part of my current work is story boarding for the advertising industry, but I am also developing a children's book with Hachette Children's books as well as producing a graphic novel, I am also interested in working in the computer games industry as a concept artist, I have also done editorial work and fashion illustration. If you have a spare minute I would be very grateful if you can think of anyone / anywhere I could contact so that I can start to get a feel for the style and size of the industry and where I might fit in to it. It is very hard to get an idea from here in London so any guidance you can give is very gratefully received! I have attached a link to my website if you want to check it out and see what my level of work is like to further see where I might fit in in Australia.
Yours
Oliver Harud.

Hi Jose. Thanks for your comment.

There are a few reasons why I crop certain pictures with violent, nude or erotic content-

1. I don't want to risk Google attaching a content warning page to my blog.
2. My blog is documented in Australia's National Library which is accessible to school children.
3. I'm known for my caricature work as well as girly stuff, so I don't wish to offend part of my audience.

My adult themed pieces can still be viewed by people who wish to, just click on the cropped thumbnail for the uncensored image. I'm just giving people the choice.

Thanks for raising that question, Jose.
