Really nice, the eyes (lips and nose) have it.
It's definitely her doing her smoldering passionate look. spot on!

Very well done Chris! You killed the likeness of her in this piece. I knew who it was as soon as it loaded.
so great !
Realy .. real.. this is not a caricature cause we can't made it with a beautiful woman !
only with a pen and nothing else ?
Thanks everyone.
Faboun'e- This is pencil, scanned and colourised in Photoshop.
This is Really good Chris, I just saw this on Drawing Board.

Wow, nice drawing . . . perfect eyes!
Thanks everyone!
Fnatastic work!
Perfect proportions, another great one Chris.
Hi - What a gift. All of your pictures are good but this one is beautiful. It's a shame that you can't present Sophia with it or perhaps you don't want to. I'm not sure that I would be able to part with such a creation.
wonderful woman as your artwork.
Just... amazing, Mr. Wahl. I'd say you even got Loomis tutti frutti. Fab.
I'd really like to hear more on how you approach hair....I find that its one of the things that grabs my ey the most in your renderings.
Sterling work as always..
P
Classy dame. What else to say...it looks just like her:)
Great work,
Joe y Elio
Always a pleasure to read your comments. Thankyou.
She thing- Loomis Tutti Frutti? How 'bout Rockwell Rocky Road or Hogarth Hokey Pokey? :D
gogopedro- I find it hard to verbalise my process. Really it's just simplifying the hair into different masses instead of drawing every hair individually. It's also hard to explain because I've been influenced from so many different sources such as comics, portraiture, painting etc. That I usually switch and change to whatever process works for me at the time. For example when drawing Sophia, I just drew what I saw, not much interpretation needed for that one. For the Betty Page pic on my sketch blog, I wanted a more simplified approach such as Petty's pinup work and Dave Stevens work. When learning to draw comicbook style hair I was influenced by Alan Davis, who to me draws the best hair in comics.
Anyway, for someone who doesn't verbalise well, I sure ramble on. Hope that gives you some insight, Pedro.
gosh i' discovering your blog, sir, and just...WOW..!! i particularly love this sophia loren, the eyes you make are soooo full of life!
