Keeping the ball rolling...

Here's a few recent sketches and drawings.

The first one was for a Spanish fan who wanted a quick sketch of himself. Inked with a Pitt pen and some digital washes converted to dots in Photoshop. I quite like the way the dots turned out. A nice spontaneous feel to it.

The second was a quick caricature inked using an old Tombow brushpen. It's lack of ink and frayed tip gave a good drybrush effect.

Lastly a caricature of fellow caricaturist 'LeftyJoe'. He supplied an extra small reference photo to work from, so I poked fun by drawing his head to match. This was scanned pencil, coloured in Photoshop.

Chris I had an email from the same guy, but being the ruthless capitalist I am I quoted for it!

Fine work, as ever.

Jonathan- As well you should charge for it. I should have as well, but he caught me in a generous mood.

Marcelo- You're too kind. Definitely have to add your blog to my listings. Really great work.

Faboun'e- The first guy was lucky as I don't do it very often, but the other two were caricaturists who caricatured me in return. But you never know...if anyone wants to send me a photo of themselves, I might draw you. Can't make any promises though.

Hi Chris,

I really like your "Play" design, and am writing to invite you to participate in our new ongoing design contest at www.tastythreads.com.

Winners receive cash for their designs, and we print them only on organic cotton t-shirts, using an eco-friendly printing process.

We just finished beta-testing the site with about 50 designers like you, and are ready now to go live to a larger audience. Three designs have been picked as winners so far; we are printing the shirts now, and they will be available for sale soon.

I hope you will participate! E-mail me with any questions.
